Burien - Why A blog about Burien?
I have to tell you how excited I am to share the flavor of Burien with you! After deciding to start this blog, I realized that five generations of my family have now resided in the Burien area. My great grandpa worked for the gas company, my grandpa drove semi-trucks, my dad graduated from Highline High School, I graduated from Evergreen High School and my kids now go to St. Francis of Assisi. During a decade of being a hairdresser in West Seattle at Salon Fauntleroy, I had many clients come to see me. Each bringing tales of adventures. I assumed they were speaking of far off places. But no, all their adventures were in my own back yard. I was amazed that they knew so many cool things about my city that I never knew existed. So now several years later, while being in the real estate business, I’m excited to learn and share all the cool things about our town here with you. And I don’t even have to leave my backyard.
