Renton New Construction Condos-Springbrook Reserves

Posted by danita jolly No Comments »

I went and looked at some new construction condos over in Renton, they have a great location for easy access to I-5 for a close commute to Seattle and also quick access to 405.  If you know anyone looking for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo over in that area here you go.  They’re called Springbrook Reserve located at 7035 S. 133rd Street, Renton 98178.

Renton is really expanding it’s shopping and enterainment choices since adding The Landing, a 68-acre urban village located just off the I-405 freeway in Renton’s South Lake Washington neighborhood. The Landing provides convenience, comfort and charm in an exciting outdoor shopping, dining and entertaining environment. Its unique blend of residential, retail and entertainment districts will serve local residents and the greater regional community.

For a look inside Springbrook Reserves, click on the picture below.

They have a sales office open Thursday-Monday from 11-5 for a private tour or give Corey Uebelacker a call at 425-442-7778 if you would like more information.

Citigroup’s continuing woes and President-elect Barack Obama’s announced intention to appoint New York Fed President Timothy Geithner as his Treasury secretary were the big news items today.  Stocks rallied on the Geithner announcement helping the Dow to move up 494 points to close at 8,046.  Bonds traded over a wide spectrum today but settled on closing up 12 bps.

McCaw Hall-Seattle Performance Hall & Opera House

Posted by danita jolly No Comments »

Not knowing much about McCaw hall, I was pleasantly surprised with it’s incredible acoustics and layout.  Living in Burien extends many opportunities to visit our Seattle Theatres and Performing Arts Venues. Inaugurated in June 2003, it was constructed within the basic steel support structure of the earlier Seattle Opera House, originally created for the World’s Fair in 1962 and gutted for this reconstruction. McCaw Hall is owned by the city of Seattle. Its two major tenants are the Seattle Opera and the Pacific Northwest Ballet.  For pictures and more information about McCaw Hall visit here. The architecture and art installation create a modern grandness to leave you inspired.  Now I must go see The Nutcracker this holiday season, for performance schedule and tickets, visit the Pacific Northwest Ballet website.  Recently though, I was pleased to go see Ray Lamontagne for the second time and Leona Naess.  Wow, wow!  Leona Naess I have never heard of, after the concert we bought her cd.  Very delicate and powerful voice.  She was more enjoyable live but I’m really enjoying her new cd.  To watch her perform live click on the image below.

For a great video of Ray Lamontagne, click on the picture below.

Little things mean a lot, thanks to a Burien clerk.

Posted by danita jolly No Comments »

Thanksgiving, a time to be thankful.  I came across a story and felt thankful for a few things.  Komo News went undercover with cameras from Marysville to Burien.  The purpose was to expose the difficulty that disabled drivers have when it comes to refueling their vehicles.  Out of 7 stations, only two came to the gentleman’s assistance.  I felt grateful that our Burien attendant, Felicia Hammond was happy to assist.  Many times the disabled patron couldn’t even get a passerby to go get an attendant.  I hope this holiday season we can all slow down enough to take notice of those around us and reach out a hand when we see someone that needs it.  If you would like to read the article or watch the video, visit Komo News.

Weekly Mortgage Rate Update by Ben, Wells Fargo

Posted by danita jolly No Comments »

Mortgage Bonds received a small boost today from a lagging stock market which responded negatively to very poor Retail Sales figures that were released today.  Retail Sales for October were down -2.8%.  This represents the worst reading since record keeping on Retail Sales began back in 1992.  As a result, stocks stumbled and bonds were able to pick up some ground.

All rates are based on a principal and interest payment and a 1% loan origination fee.

Best,

Ben

Normandy Park Towne Center is proud to announce the Grand Opening of their new building, built by local developer McKittrick Real Estate Group.  Housing tenants such as nutritious (& yet still tasty) vendor Emerald City Smoothie, old favorite hamburger-maker Herfy’s, and Café Mia, a lovely Italian themed restaurant with its own pizza oven, bakery, wine & coffee bar; this addition to the  Normandy Park neighborhood promises to be well received.  In addition, NPTC houses the offices of McKittrick Real Estate Group, as well as the local non-profit, the Hear See Hope Foundation (www.hearseehope.com).  To introduce the new tenants to the community, Normandy Park Towne Center is hosting a community-wide Winterfest on December 13th &14th from 10am to 3pm. Be sure to mark your calendars as you will not want to miss out on this festive holiday event that includes a little something for everyone:

  • Professional holiday photos taken with our Special Guest, Santa Claus!

Yes, Santa Claus truly is coming to “Towne” to partner with the Hear See Hope Foundation to raise awareness about Usher syndrome. Created in 2004 to as a response to the diagnosis of their eldest son Conner…

Todd & Lane McKittrick created Hear See Hope as a means to raise funds to support research looking to find a cure.  Four years later, their fourth son, Dalton, was born with Usher as well….

Usher syndrome is the leading cause of deaf-blindness in the world. Those with Usher syndrome are born profoundly deaf, and lose their vision by their teenage years. To date, Hear See Hope has raised approximately $850,000, and will not stop until a cure is found.

NPTC is continuing to look for local entertainment that would make the event even better. If you have an idea, let us know by emailing us at info@mckittrickre.com. We will contact you once your information is received. No matter what, plan on joining in on the fun at Normandy Park Towne Center!

Located in between the City of Des Moines and the City of Burien, Normandy Park Towne Center can be found at 19803 1st Ave South in Normandy Park.  Directions and more information on the development can be found at www.normandyparktc.com.  See you “around Towne”!
