After starting this Burien blog, it came to my realization that five generations of my family have lived in the Burien area.
My great grandpa Oliver Harrison worked for the gas company,
My grandpa Marvin LeRoy Fitch (far right) drove long distance semi-trucks,
My dad, Byron Fitch graduated from Highline High School,
My parents married at Highline Christian Church, Burien WA
If this photo was taken today, you would see Burien Town Square in the background. That is my dad on the right. My grandpa built the fireplace and it’s still standing today! This is what the house looks like now.
Many years of happy memories were made here! My grandpa was also a beekeeper and the house was on over an acre back then. He maintained a wonderful garden full of fresh vegetables and fruit trees that we enjoyed for many years.
I graduated from Evergreen High School and now my children attend St. Francis of Assisi. Before becoming a Real Estate agent, I was a hairdresser for many years and worked in West Seattle at Salon Fauntleroy.
