Seattle Aquarium Visit

Posted by danita jolly No Comments »

Even with a bus load of 5th graders it was only a short trip from Burien to the Seattle Waterfront.  Today was a fun day of exploring the Seattle Aquarium. The kids got to collect samples of plankton and then take the research indoors and view under a microscope.  I never knew there were so many different species of plankton, I guess the Spongebob version is only one of them.

Here are a few pictures from the trip:

Puget Sound Seafood & Fun

Posted by danita jolly No Comments »

It was so beautiful in Seattle the other day, we had to go to the Waterfront and enjoy some seafood.  Since there was an hour wait at Elliott’s we went down to Fisherman’s Wharf, where there was no wait and a great view.  And my favorite…oysters!

That’s one of the things I love about Burien, it’s so close to Seattle.  While in Burien, we ride our bikes around our local community for coffee, lunch or to the pool.  Then we hop in the car and can be downtown in a few minutes, right in the middle of so many exciting things, like the carousel-

What’s your favorite thing to do in Seattle?
